Description
Zaffiro translates into “Sapphire” from Italian, but actually appears to be more of an eggplant or brown color. A high quality honey/sugar variety from Italy. It has an amber to caramel-colored interior. It has a complex honey/light brown sugar flavor that includes nutty, coconut (especially in its very thick syconium), cinnamon, and persimmon notes when fully ripe and it has good rain resistance.
