Description
This variety should not be confused with the typical Lattarula, which is in the White Marsailles fig family.
Many in the fig community have acquired the Lattarula variety as a small tissue-cultured plant. As these trees produce figs, they do not appear to match Lattarula, but have a redder interior. Many believe this particular variety originates with AgriStarts. However, at least at the time of this writing, AgriStarts’ listing description and image for the Lattarula variety does seem to match that of Lattarula.
So, AgriStarts may have had a different variety previously or the Lattarula (AgriStarts) variety may have merely been misattributed to AgriStarts.
That being said, there is clearly a Lattarula variety that has a more red interior and some suspect is may actually be Lattarola (with an “O”). These variety names, being so similar, are often confused in the fig community.
